Pale hues are having their moment, with Taylor Swift, Ellen Pompeo and Kristin Kreuk all rocking show-stopping light dresses. There was also plenty of sparkle at the Jan. 9 show, with Naomi Watts, Lea Michele and Julianne Hough glittering on the red carpet.
Taylor Swift wore her sexiest look ever, a sleek, plunging white Ralph Lauren gown and what looks like a serious break-up expression, post-parting of the ways with Conor Kennedy.
Julianne Hough clearly thought it was her night to shine. She stepped out in a sparkling Tony Ward couture dress with silver Guiseppe Zanotti heels, a Misaki ring and Norman Silverman earrings
White Collar‘s Matt Bomer wore a simple suit to the show.
People’s Choice host Kaley Cuoco wore Christian Siriano for her red carpet walk.
Glee‘s Lea Michele flaunted her assets in a hot pink Elie Saab mini. Later on, Michele nabbed the award for favorite comedic TV actress.
Beauty & the Beast star Kristin Kreuk looked horribly peachy as she arrived at the Nokia Theatre. Her CW series won favorite new TV drama.
Fifteen-year-old Chloe Grace Moretz was thrilled to be wearing designer Simone Roche, choosing a spring-friendly, neon yellow dress which was very on-trend for Spring/Summer 2013.
Awkward star Ashley Rickards nabbed this sparkling gown from Bloomingdale’s just hours before hitting the carpet. “Someone dropped the ball,” Rickards told THR (The Hollywood Reporter) of how she suddenly found herself without a dress during a table read earlier that day. Her MTV comedy took home the prize for favorite cable comedy.
Actress Rachael Leigh Cook — whose Red Sky is being released this year — was a People’s Choice fashion winner in a turquoise gown with a bold silver necklace.
Happy Endings star Casey Wilson went for cobalt blue backstage at the People’s Choice Awards.
Oliva Munn wore a very busy creation — a drop waist black and white patterned mid-calf dress — that didn’t do much for her spectacular figure. Too bad she didn’t grab something from her sexyNewsroom wardrobe for the event.
Demi Moore’s daughter Rumer Willis was a stand out at the awards in a glamorous Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet Fall 2012 gown with slimming diagonal black and silver stripes. The high neck and cap sleeves make this gown look less Vegas-y and more 1930s retro. A definite red-carpet high point. But maybe a little to much for this occasions….
Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo wore a Lanvin dress, belt and clutch as she accepted the award for favorite dramatic TV actress. She was joined on the carpet by co-star Jesse Williams
Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow wore a pale yellow Maria Lucia Hohen dress with a plunging neckline.
Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder looked dapper in a black suit. I wish he was a real vampire…
Heidi Klum proved that she’s still Victoria’s Secret lingerie-ready in this embellished black Julien MacDonald long black gown with strategically placed cut outs.
Parenthood‘s Mae Whitman wore a LBD. And that’s all we can say.
The Impossible star Naomi Watts wore a sparkling Alexander McQueen black and gold dress. This would have worked well at the globes.
Monica Potter donned a flirty, pale pink dress for the occasion. And looked silly.
Gossip Girl alum Katie Cassidy chose a baggy belted black jumpsuit for her People’s Choice ensemble. The problem is that the jumpsuit looked ill-fitting and could have used a tailor’s touch for the normally stylish star.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Paris Hilton on an awards red carpet. And this garish turquoise and green patterned dress didn’t make us want her back again anytime soon.
Joining the People’s Choice parade was Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell in a Giorgio Armani apricot print strapless dress. Firstly small prints may be a big spring trend but don’t read well on a red carpet, secondly and I am sure she could have chosen a better shoe. Thirdly, I feel like the whole design of this dress should change. it would look better as a figure hugging pencil dress cut jst above the knees. Yes/No/Maybe?
